STEP-Project Implementation Support Mission
From August 2-13,2010

A joint World Bank-Federal Government of Nigeria team is to carry out an implementation support mission for the STEP-B Project from August 2-13,2010.

The World Bank mission team will consist of Irajen Appasamy (in-coming TTL and Senior Operation Specialist), Peter Materu (outgoing TTL and Lead Education Specialist), Olatunde Adekola (Co-TTL and Senior Education Specialist), Winston Cole (Senior Financial Specialist), Thomas Anang (Procurement Specialist), Abu Amos (Senior Environmental Specialist) and Janet Adebo (Team Assistant).

The Objectives of the mission are the following:

 Review the status of implementation of STEP-B Project against agreed Project Development Objectives (PDO) and the actions agreed upon at Mid-Term Review.

 Review Implementation Progress with respect to the on-going analytical work on ICT skills assessment and discuss with stakeholders strategies to address the observed skill gaps.

 Introduce the new 5 task team leader for the STEP-B project to key stakeholders. Mr. Irajen Appasamy will be taking over as task team leader (based in Nigeria) with effect from August 1, 2010.
